Make sure your resume is an accurate reflection of your work experience.

Sometimes there can be a temptation to leave out a period of a few months by extending finishing dates with previous employer. As this is not an accurate reflection of your employment dates, it will very likely show up during reference checking and will inevitably reflect upon your integrity.

In extreme cases this could result in the offer being withdrawn. It is best to be honest at the start and make sure that you have good reasons to account for short-term employment.
