Michael Craig, President
Synergy Work Solutions

For CEO’s, President’s, business owners, and senior executives looking to become more effective, maximize their own and their team’s potential, and produce measurable improved results, Mike Craig, through his company Synergy Work Solutions (www.synergyworksolutions.com), provides results focused Leadership Performance Coaching, peer group learning forums, strategic planning, workshops, keynote addresses, and retreat facilitation.

What makes Leadership Performance Coaching so effective is a systematic approach leading to real performance improvement. We measure our success by how we help executives move the numbers, not by how they “feel”, as many executive coaches and processes do.

The best performance coaches help leaders connect the future to the present by identifying the specific steps leading to success:

  1. An initial focus on a clear understanding of each businesses strategy and goals, and the client’s individual goals

  2. Identify the leader’s and the team’s strengths and weaknesses

  3. An assessment of gaps between current and desired performance

  4. A focus on translating the big ideas into ground-level activity to attain significant performance outcomes

  5. Understand and develop key measures to be achieved for success

  6. Questioning, challenging assumptions, probing alternatives, identifying strong points of resistance, are all hallmarks of our unique and effective process

Identifying and attacking areas mediocrity early in the process helps propel our clients results forward quickly. When leaders spend too much time doing things they do not do well, excellence is rarely an outcome.

Through Synergy Work Solutions, Mike is also a group Chairman with TEC (The Executive Committee Ltd.), and has received their Rookie of the Year and Chair Excellence awards. TEC is the world’s largest membership organization of CEO’s and senior executives, helping produce better leaders, decisions, and results.

Mike has led two companies, one of which has been awarded with Canada’s 50 Best Managed Privately Owned Companies designation.

Mike has been recognized as one of Canada’s 50 most influential people in the Canadian Graphic Arts industry for his vision, leadership, innovation, impact, achievement, and social responsibility.

Mike has also been Vice President with the Great Place to Work Institute, best known for their work in creating the 100 Best Workplaces in America list, published annually in Fortune magazine. The Great Place to Work Institute is a global research and consultancy helping organizations achieve outstanding results and become great workplaces through cultural transformation.

Mike holds a BA in Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Management, both from McGill University. He has also graduated from the Corporate Coach U executive coaching program, and completed a six-month program with one of the world’s leading psychologists, a pioneer in the field of positive psychology and human performance.

Mike plays an active role in his community, serving on various non-profit boards, and has coached many years in community basketball programs, including the Bell Raptorial youth basketball development program.
